(Feel This Pain jingle) Hello and welcome to Feel This Pain. In this series of tutorials, I'm going to attempt to convey to you what it's like to experiencecertain types of chronic pain. Now, for our first episode, we're going to concentrate on Crohn's and when my wife andI were discussing this
trying to figure out a good way to make it relatable to people, we were thinking, well, flu maybe, but it has to bea very extreme kind of flu like H1N1, and a lot ofpeople didn't get that so it wouldn't be relatable. But then she came up with a brilliant idea of food poisoning.
Food poisoning that never endsthe example of a Crohn's person, which is brilliant because most people at one time or anotherhave had food poisoning. Now when I say food poisoning, I'm not talking about (grunts) my tummy's a little off today, I think I'll stay home and
watch Orange is the New Black on Netflix. No. I mean real food poisoning. The kind that has diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, cramps, you know, all those funthings that add up to
you're gonna a very bad day. So, imagine you're there, you're at home on the couch, you feel horrible, and then a friend or a family member, a coworker who came by tosee why you weren't at work, offered, you know, thehelpful suggestion that maybe you should go for a walk.
That would make you feel better right? Just get some freshair, get some exercise. Go for a jog. Try some yoga. Maybe you just need to eatsomething different like . Some kale. Kale's a super food, I'msure that would improve the way you're feeling right now.
